STANDING TRAIN NOTICE

JAMESTOWN YARD COMMISSIONING WORKS

APPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING ROUTE:
CRYSTAL BROOK TO BROKEN HILL

Between 0700hrs and 1700hrs Wednesday 25/10/2017, works will be undertaken at Jamestown to convert the existing goods loop to a new crossing loop as a result of the Crossing Loop being booked out of service per Train Notice 1947/2016.

Train Notice 1947 will be updated on this day.

As a result of these works, the following changes will be made:

- #16 Points to be spiked, clamped and locked in reverse
- #16A Points to be spiked, clamped and locked in reverse
- #18 Points to be spiked, clamped and locked in normal
- #19 Points to be spiked, clamped and locked in normal
- #17A Points to be spiked, clamped and locked in normal
- #17 Points to be spiked, clamped and locked in normal
- #15A derail to be removed
- #15 Points to be spiked, clamped and locked in reverse
- Installation of Clearance Point Signage

At the completion of works, the following sections of track will remain booked out of use:

- Former Crossing Loop Track
- Stock Siding
- All track past #16A points towards the Jamestown Silos until a later date when the derail will be relocated to provide a stabling location for track machines.

On completion of commission activities the available standing room on the crossing loop at Jamestown will increase to 1007 metres.

Access to the new Crossing Loop will be in accordance with instructions contained in the ARTC Addendum to the Code of Practice for the Defined Interstate Rail Network.

The Track Protection Officer will be required to liaise with Network Control regarding work locations and boundaries.
