Standing Notice 1224 dated 17/05/2022 is AMENDED (*) and REISSUED AS BELOW:

Amendments to TA20 ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations


Commencing 0001hrs on Sunday 03 July 2022 ARTC will introduce changes to the ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations TA20, Section 4 rule 3 Clauses e, f, and g regarding the issue and receival of a Signalmans Caution Order. Inclusive of change to the Signalmans Caution Order form.

The amended documents will be available on the ARTC website 28 days prior to the change being implemented and will be located at;

The following Sections of the ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations TA20 have been amended:
- Section 4 Defective Fixed Signals

Clause e. Facing / Trailing Points: Defective Home Signal at ‘Stop’
Clause f. Compilation of the Signalmans Caution Order form 2377 4-8
Clause g. Signalmans Caution Order Form 2377 4-10

Affected Rail Safety Workers qualified in TA20:
- Network Controllers
- Track Vehicle Operators - Excluding Road Rail Vehicle Operators
- Safeworking Level 1
- Rail Traffic Crews

Network Controllers must undertake a briefing through their respective Network Control Trainers.

(*) Safeworking Level 1 and Track Vehicle Operators (Excluding Road Rail Vehicle Operators) must complete an online briefing session available through RIW.

Rail Traffic Crews (Drivers) must complete a briefing through either their respective Organisation or a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Affected Rail Safety Workers must undertake a briefing in the changes prior to the date of the changes taking effect.
