Amendments to TA20 ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations - Section 15 Infrastructure Works.
Commencing 0001hrs on Sunday 05 July 2020, ARTC will bring into use on the ARTC Network, changes to the TA20 ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations, Section 15 Infrastructure Works.
The amended Section 15 Infrastructure Works, version 5.2 dated 05 July 2020 is available on the ARTC website located at:
The changes to the Rules are minor in content to address typographical errors and do not change the intent of the Rules.
The following information is provided as an overview to describe the amendments to the Rules within Section 15 Infrastructure Works:
- Rule 7 Reflective Signs During Prolonged Periods of Reduced Speeds - Diagram amended to display the:
- Reflective "Caution" sign with a red ‘C’ on a yellow background, and
o maximum speed permissible sign with black numerals on a yellow background, as the previous diagram displayed black lettering and numerals on a white background (page reference number 15-24).
- Rule 20 Absolute Occupation/Local Possession Authority - Multiple Work Groups, b. Permit to Foul the Line, items 5 a) and b), amended to include reference to the "Work Group Supervisor", as wording is currently omitted from version 5.1 dated 01 July 2018 (page reference number 15-46).
- Rule 21 Track Warrant Working, Issue of One or More Track Warrants in the Same Section, amended sentence to "One or more Track Warrants may be issued for the one section, provided the work areas do not overlap", align with the bold text.
All users of the ARTC Network affected by the changes must make themselves familiar with the content of the revised edition of TA20 ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations, Section 15 Infrastructure Works prior to the implementation date of Sunday 05 July 2020.
