Monday 15/09/2025 from 1800 hours - the following signalling alterations will apply at Wallan Loop. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
SIGNALLING ALTERATIONS: - Existing Incandescent Automatic Signal ES/1475 at 43.800km will be decommissioned and removed. - New LED Automatic Signal ES/439 will be commissioned at 43.800km and will be positioned on the non-preferred side of the track (RHS). A arm (3 aspect, R/Y/G) / B arm (Fixed aspect, R). - Existing Home Arrival Signal WLN/2 at 47.230km will be decommissioned and removed. - New LED Home Arrival Signal WLN/2 will be commissioned at 47.086km and will be positioned on the non-preferred side of the track (RHS). A arm (2 aspect, R/G) /B arm (Fixed aspect, R) / C arm (Low Speed). - Existing Departure signal WLN/4 on the up end of Wallan Loop will be decommissioned and removed. - New LED Departure Signal WLN/4 will be placed at 47.388km on the non-preferred side (RHS) of the track due to signal sighting requirements. A arm (2 aspect, R/G) / B arm (Fixed aspect, R). - Existing Departure signal WLNU4 on the up end of Wallan will remain in the current position. Existing signal mast and Incandescent lamps will be upgraded with Tilt Mast, new signal heads, and LED lamps. A arm (Fixed aspect, R) / B arm (2 aspect, R/G). - New LED Shunt signal WLN/V4 will be installed in the Cripple Siding at 47.388km. A arm (2 aspect, R/G). - Existing Departure signals WLN/6 A arm (2 aspect, R/G) / B arm (Fixed aspect, R) and WLN/U6 A arm (Fixed aspect, R) / B arm (2 aspect, R/G) on the down end of Wallan will remain in their current position. - Existing Home arrival signal WLN/8 will be decommissioned and removed. - New Home Arrival Signal WLN/8 will be installed at 49.244km and will be upgraded with new mast, signal heads, LED lamps, ladder and landings. A arm (2 aspect, R/G) / B arm (Fixed aspect, R) / C arm (Low Speed). - Existing Automatic Signal ES1712 located on the approach to Wallan Loop from Albury will be decommissioned and removed. - New LED Automatic Signal ES/528 will be installed at 52.800km A arm (3 aspect, R/Y/G) B arm (Fixed aspect, R).
POINTS: - Existing hand operated points and Electric Switch Lock machine 1U and ID at the entry of Cripple siding in Wallan Up end will be motorized with 110V M23A point machines. These points will be fully signalled and operated from the Phoenix System (Network Controller). - Existing 24V Point machines 3 & 7 on both ends of Wallan will remain at their current location, no changes are being made to the point mechanism and detection mechanisms as part of these works.
ARTC Network Information Book: OGW-30-30 Main South C will be updated to reflect these works.
SIGNALLING DIAGRAMS: New Signalling Diagrams will be issued as part of this work. Donnybrook to Wallan Signalling Diagram 12/25 Heathcote Junction to Kilmore East Signalling Diagram - TBA.
