Transfer of Operational Control Torrens Junction

From approximately 0530 hrs Tuesday 21/11/2017 (unless completed earlier), as documented in Train Notice 2065 / 2017, ARTC will assume Operational Responsibility of the entire block section from Mile End to Islington inclusive of the track between Signals AN21 and AN22.

For Operational Responsibility to be enacted, the Operations Handover document must have been completed in accordance with the agreed Handover Process in accordance with DPTI Document PR-RC-IC-1147.

ARTC and DPTI must be in possession of the completed Handover Certificate DPTI Document No PR-RC-IC-1148.

Authority to pass Signals AN21 or AN22 at Stop will be by a written Train Authority in accordance with the ARTC CoP for the Defined Interstate Network.

Once Signals AN21 and AN22 are handed over, there will be no requirement for Rail Traffic Crews to contact DPTI Train Control regarding passage through the area.

OUT of GAUGE DETECTION:-

If the Out of Gauge detector at Islington is activated, Signal AN22, if clear, will revert to STOP.
Once normal OOG processes have been followed, the detector can be reset.
Once the reset has been enabled, Signal AN22 will display a proceed aspect.

MAINTENANCE and OWNERSHIP:-
---------------------------
Maintenance and ownership of Signals AN21, AN22 and Track Circuits (21T) and (22T) will remain with DPTI until the final scheme is implemented mid next year in accordance with DPTI Document PR-RC-IC-045.
In the event of failure of Signals AN21, AN22 or Track Circuits (21T) or (22T), ARTC Network Control will advise the DPTI Shift Manager, who will contact and advise the DPTI Signal Maintenance Fitter to attend.
