Standing Train Notice 220/2020 issued on 31/01/2020 & 19/03/2024 has been AMENDED (*) and RE-ISSUED as below:

Signal 76 Largs North Signage

WILLOCHRA STREET LEVEL CROSSING

Commencing Tuesday 09/04/2024 until further notice.

On 31/01/2020 signage was installed adjacent to Signal 76 at Largs North.

The signage is to remind rail traffic crews to ensure level crossing booms are in the horizontal position prior to proceeding over the level crossing after shunting at Mobil Siding.

The signage only applies to movements that have traversed the level crossing and are to proceed southbound back towards Birkenhead.

(*) Rail traffic crews are to ensure the level crossing booms have been in the horizontal position for a minimum of 30 seconds prior to proceeding past Signal 76 to traverse Willochra Street Level Crossing to avoid a short ring time alarm.(*)

Signage reads ‘ENSURE BOOMS ARE HORIZONTAL PRIOR TO PROCEEDING’ and is positioned immediately ahead of Signal 76.

The level crossing will operate normally for the passage of through movements from Pelican Point.

A CAN warning is not required.
