Signal 61/26 displays ‘Stop’, ‘Normal Speed Warning’ (set for main line, signal 61/10 at stop), ‘Clear Normal Speed’ (set for main line. Signal 61/10 at proceed), ‘Medium Speed Warning’ (set for crossing loop, signal 61/12 at ‘stop’) and ‘Clear Medium Speed’ (signal 61/12 at proceed)

* Up Automatic signal GGG2162 located at 64.453km.
Signal 61/10 displays ‘Stop’, ‘Normal Speed Warning’ (signal 61/26 at ‘stop’), ‘Clear Normal Speed’ (signal 61/26 at set for main line displaying ‘normal speed’ aspect) and ‘Reduce to Medium Speed’ (signal 61/26 set for crossing loop displaying a ‘medium speed’ aspect)

PROVISION OF EMERGENCY OPERATION

Elders Crossing Loop is provided with automatic mode which will initiate 5 minutes after loss of normal CTC Control.

The rule 8, Section 15 details the operation of Automatic mode with Elders having the following additional enhancements:

* Upon a failure of the CTC control system , and provided there are no movements approaching Arrival Signals 61/6 or 61/26, all signals at proceed will assume the ‘Stop’ position.

* If a movement is approaching the Arrival Signal upon the CTC system failing, the applicable signals at proceed will remain at proceed and the movement may traverse the route in the normal manner.

* The emergency key switches are located in a cabinet secured with a 5PSW padlock adjacent the respective departure signals.
