INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHUNTING AT GOODS SIDINGS WHERE ELECTRICAL INTERLOCKING IS INVOLVED
APPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING ROUTES: - TAILEM BEND TO WOLSELEY MILE END TO MONARTO SOUTH DRY CREEK TO CRYSTAL BROOK COONAMIA TO STIRLING NORTH
ADVICE TO TRAIN CREWS ----------------------------------
This instruction applies at Wolseley, Bordertown, Keith, Mt Lofty, Snowtown and Stirling North over lightly trafficked routes.
At all locations, when a train is shunting in and out of a goods siding or over a derail or catchpoint, prior to selecting the signals, a sleeve is to be placed over the points, derail or catchpoint by the Network Controller.
If an active level crossing is involved the Test Switch must be activated by the Rail Traffic Crew for the movement.
The point sleeving may only be removed when confirmation has been received from the Rail Traffic Crew that the movement is complete and clear of the points, derail or catchpoint.
During shunting operations stored routes are not to be selected and stored by the Network Controller.
