From 20:00 hours Tuesday, 5th of May 2026, the following assets will be commissioned between Somerton @ 21.453 KM to Donnybrook @ 34.051 KM to enable train movements in/out of the Somerton Intermodal Terminal onto the ARTC Mainline.

SIGNALS
----------
The following Signals shall be commissioned at the following chainages between Somerton and Donnybrook:

Signal CGB14 at Chainage - 25.610KM (Signal Mast, Up Signal towards Melbourne)
Signal CGB12 at Chainage - 25.080KM (Gantry, Down Signal towards Sydney)
Signal CGB24 at Chainage - 25.200KM (Signal Mast, within Somerton sidings road)
Signal CGB26 at Chainage - 25.290KM (Signal Mast, within Somerton sidings road)
Signal CGB14BI at Chainage - 26.475KM (Banner Indicator for CGB14, UP towards Melbourne)
Signal ES298 at Chainage - 29.841KM (Signal Mast, UP Signal towards Melbourne)
Signal CGB28 at Chainage - 25.290KM (Dwarf Signal, Buffer Stop on Shunt Neck within Somerton Sidings)

POINTS

The following points shall be commissioned at the following chainages at Craigieburn:
Points CGB13U at Chainage - 25.215KM (within Somerton Sidings Road)
Points CGB13D at Chainage - 25.285KM (on ARTC Mainline)
Points CGB27 at Chainage - 25.285KM (Derail and wheel crowder within Somerton Sidings Road)

TRACK CIRCUITS

Axle Counters shall be commissioning between Ch. 25.080KM at Craigieburn and Ch. 29.841KM on ARTC’s mainline. The reset functionality of the axle counters installed will be via co-operative reset.

Based on the introduction of axle counters, the following PSO circuits will be installed at the interface boundaries:

PSO A6T (1180Hz) - 25.080KM (on ARTC Mainline)
PSO ES301T (645Hz) - 29.841KM (on ARTC Mainline)

RAIL FENCING
-------------------
The rail fencing between the Somerton Sidings and the ARTC Mainline will be in service between chainages 23.573KM and 24.3868KM. The new rail fencing will have refuge gates installed at 20LM intervals with appropriate signage highlighting the Exits

The signage installed to notify of the refuges within the rail fencing will reflect the following wording:

- DANGER NO SAFE PLACE
- REFUGE <10M>

SIGNALLING DIAGRAMS

The following signalling diagrams have been updated and endorsed as part of this commissioning:
- Glenbervie to Somerton Signalling Diagram 41/25
- Craigieburn Signalling Diagram 43/25
- Donnybrook to Wallan Signalling Diagram 12/25
