BIRKETT STREET LEVEL CROSSING WORKS
Infrastructure Alteration Advice.
At completion of work activities as advertised in Train Notice 516 / 2025 the following infrastructure changes apply.
Installation of New Warning Equipment: Level crossing Light, Bells and booms due to road widening activities at Birkett Street.
Relocation of existing HXP Predictor Boards for Birkett Street to the following locations.
- New Down Approach Predictor Boards on the West and East Lines located at 147.792km with sign attached ‘Birkett Street’ which is 2505 metres from the level crossing.
- New Up Approach Predictor Boards on the West and East Lines located at 152.829km with sign attached ‘Birkett Street’ which is 2522 metres from the level crossing.
Update of Predictor Board signage for Lydiards Road.
- Existing Down Approach Predictor Board Signage at 152.020km will have additional signage attached 'Lydiards Road’.
- Existing Up Approach Predictor Board Signage at 153.030km will have additional signage attached 'Lydiards Road’.
Functionality of the level crossings is unchanged.
Signalling Diagrams - Mangalore to Creighton and Euroa to Baddaginnie will be reissued with the updated locations of signage.
